Fantasy Doll Head Sculpt

Job ID: 40282860

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am looking for a skilled 3D sculptor or character artist to create a stylized fantasy doll head for a handmade collectible art doll I am designing. The sculpt will be used for 3D printing and resin casting, so the model must be clean, printable, and suitable for molding.

I will provide a reference image of the character design, and the sculpt should closely match the overall proportions, expression, and aesthetic of that reference.

The character is a whimsical fantasy lantern forest child with a soft storybook aesthetic. The face should feel gentle, curious, serene, and slightly magical.

Doll Scale
The final doll will be approximately 10–12 inches tall. The head should be approximately 70–75 mm tall (about 2.75–3 inches) and slightly large in proportion to the body to create a stylized fantasy look.

Style
The sculpt should be stylized and whimsical rather than realistic. The aesthetic should resemble a storybook fantasy doll or collectible designer toy, not a realistic human portrait. The sculpt should include soft sculpted forms, smooth surfaces, and clean stylized anatomy. Do not include hyper-realistic skin details such as pores, wrinkles, or realistic skin texture. The finished result should resemble a hand-sculpted polymer clay art doll style.

Facial Expression
The expression should feel neutral and serene, gently curious, slightly thoughtful, soft and innocent. The character should appear as if they have just discovered something magical or glowing in the forest. The mouth should be slightly parted but not smiling.

Face Shape
The face should have a soft elongated oval or heart-shaped structure with a rounded forehead, softly full cheeks, narrow jaw, and small rounded chin. The overall feeling should be childlike, delicate, and whimsical.

Eyes
The eyes are the most important feature of the design. The sculpt must include large stylized eye sockets designed for 14–16 mm inset glass eyes. The eye shape should be rounded almond with defined eyelids so the glass eyes sit naturally. The upper eyelid should be slightly heavier than the lower eyelid to create a gentle expression. The eyes should sit slightly lower than the vertical center of the head and be spaced approximately one eye width apart.

Nose
The nose should be very small, soft, and rounded with minimal nostril detail. Avoid sharp or realistic anatomy so the nose remains delicate and childlike.

Mouth
The lips should be small and softly sculpted with a slightly parted shape. The upper lip should be slightly thinner than the lower lip. The expression should feel calm and thoughtful rather than smiling.

Cheeks
The cheeks should be softly full and slightly lifted beneath the eyes to help maintain the youthful character design.

Freckles
Freckles will be added later during painting and do not need to be sculpted, but the sculpt should support the look of freckles across the bridge of the nose and upper cheeks.

Ears
The ears should be slightly stylized woodland ears. They should be small with gently pointed tops and rounded edges with a subtle outward angle. They should not be dramatic elf ears and should resemble a soft leaf-tip shape.

Hairline
The hairline should be sculpted but simple with a slightly irregular natural edge that allows space for rooted or glued fiber hair later. Hair will be applied after printing.

Neck
The neck should be slender and slightly elongated, approximately one-third the height of the head. This helps create an elegant whimsical posture for the doll.

Sculpt Detail Level
The sculpt should be moderate stylized detail. Include defined eyelids, shaped lips, sculpted ears, and soft facial structure. Do not include pores, wrinkles, or hyper-realistic textures. The surface should remain smooth and clean for resin printing.

File Requirements
Final deliverables must include a high-resolution STL or OBJ file suitable for resin 3D printing with clean topology and no mesh errors. The model should be scaled appropriately for the measurements listed above.

Usage Rights
I will need full commercial rights to the sculpt so that I can print and cast the doll head for my handmade art doll line.

Portfolio Requirement
Please include examples of stylized character sculpts, toy or collectible figures, or fantasy characters. Artists with experience in stylized characters or toy design are preferred.

Additional Notes
I will provide the reference image used to design the character. The sculpt should closely match the proportions and expression of that reference while maintaining clean sculpted forms suitable for printing and casting. The goal is to create a unique fantasy doll head sculpt that will serve as the master head for a collectible handmade art doll series.
