Customizable, Stackable, Waterproof 3D-Printed Box
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need 5 files, (box, lid, screw and 2 seals) to print a 7.5" x 7.5" x 15" x 3/16" thick stackable box with a waterproof lid, (with din rail printed on inside of lid) on the right side of 6.75" x 14", a knurled screw fastener, and two different tpu printed seals. The stack height will be 15". I must be able to adjust the stacking height of the box and lid taller or shorter without affecting the standoff or din rail dimensionally in the center. Length and width will always remain the same. Also need to be able to adjust the lid seal accordingly. The box will be printed with the bottom side down on bed of printer using ASA filament. Details of box are as follows: All edges of box except for the top will have a .25 radius on the outside and on the inside. The top will have a recess to accept the bottom of the next box to stack to a height of 15". In the center of the top and the bottom there needs to be a depression 1/16" diameter x 1/16" deep on the outside. The left side of box on the inside needs to have a .375" very course internally threaded standoff 1" diameter (about like the coarseness of a corkscrew) in the center that reaches almost to the lid on the other side for a fastener to pull lid tight to seal the opening. The opening in the box needs to be 6." x 13.75" with 2" radius on the four corners and have a recess with a .375" lip .25" deep with a groove centered on lip for a 3/16" tpu seal to provide a watertight seal for the lid. On the inside of the top, it needs to have eight standoffs (four with holes and four with an edge to clip over something to hold it in place) that can be manipulated dimensionally and positionally to accommodate changing needs, with ability to remove or add if needed. The front of box needs to have eight holes that can be manipulated dimentionally and positionally to accommodate changing needs, with ability to remove or add if needed. The lid needs to have a .5" diameter opening for fastener and have a recess with a .375" lip .25" deep with a groove centered on lip for a 3/16" tpu seal for a very course .375 screw (about like the coarseness of a corkscrew) with a knurled head 1.5" diameter protruding out .875" from face of recess in lid for watertight seal that screws into the threaded standoff coming from the other side. On four sides of the recess needs to be a din rail going in the 14" and the 6" direction .25" away from the mating surface of the lid and box opening, and .25" away from the standoff/fastener surfaces. The lid will need to be printed with the outside down on the bed of the printer. The fastener will need to be printed with the knurled end on face of bed of printer. I will be working with Fusion 360.
