Custom Brake Light Plug STL
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need an accurate STL model for a small insert that seals the open section of the high-mount third brake-light housing on a 2020-2024 Ford Transit. The final part will be printed in plastic, but I am flexible on the specific filament—ABS, PLA, or PETG—once we confirm which will handle temperature and weather best.
I do not have reliable dimensions, so I’m looking for someone who can physically inspect the vehicle (ideally you are within easy driving distance) or propose another practical way to capture the shape. Once you have the measurements, create a snug-fitting design that follows the light’s contour, does not block the rear view camera (see photo of camera on the left), and prevents water or dust ingress.
Deliverables:
• Finished, watertight STL ready for FDM printing
• Source CAD file so I can tweak it later
• Up to two quick revisions after a test print, if needed
If you have experience reverse-engineering small automotive parts and can turn this around quickly, let’s get started. I am located in Charlotte, NC.
