Cooled Lava Textured Cylinder Models
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I need a set of simple “puck”-style cylinders prepared for 3D printing, each one completely smooth on the sides and bottom while the top face carries a convincing cooled-lava texture. I already have clear reference photos of the lava surface and will forward them as soon as we begin. The finish needs to read as distinctly rough and fractured, capturing that sharp, hardened-magma look without straying into generic rock.
Reference
• The reference image shows the "puck" - the cement base is NOT included in this request, just the black plastic cylinder.
Scope
• Create a printable 3D model of a single cylinder with the specified top texture.
• Keep the geometry watertight and oriented for FDM (STL preferred).
• Optimise polygon count so fine cracks and bubbles hold up at typical desktop-printer layer heights while avoiding unnecessary file bloat.
• Build the texture directly into the mesh; no displacement maps or colour data are required at this stage.
Acceptance
The file is considered complete once a slice preview (your screenshots are fine) shows crisp surface relief across the whole top face, no non-manifold edges appear, and overall dimensions remain true to the simple cylinder profile I will supply.
Once the cooled-lava puck is approved, I may commission additional variants—amber, cave wall, tectite, anthracite—using the same base model, so an efficient, editable workflow is appreciated.
