Boost LAN Reliability Performance
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need an experienced network engineer to help me squeeze every ounce of reliability out of our existing Local Area Network. The goal is simple but critical: improve overall performance by eliminating the small interruptions and random hiccups that erode user confidence.
You will start with a brief discovery session so I can walk you through the current topology, hardware inventory (Cisco switches and a FortiGate edge), and the pain points we see on our monitoring dashboards. From there I’m expecting a clear action plan that identifies root causes and shows exactly how you’ll raise reliability—whether that means refining VLAN design, adjusting QoS policies, upgrading firmware, or fine-tuning Spanning Tree parameters.
Once agreed, implement the approved changes during a scheduled maintenance window, document every step, and hand over before/after metrics that prove the stability gains. I already run basic PRTG and NetFlow monitoring, so please feel free to suggest any additional tools you prefer for validation.
Deliverables
• Written assessment with prioritized fixes
• Configuration changes applied or scripted (CLI or Ansible)
• Verification report with latency, packet-loss, and uptime comparisons
• Post-deployment rollback plan
If you have a track record of making LANs rock-solid without costly hardware swaps, let’s get started.
