Auomating a microscope xy stage

I have a nikon eclipse e600 microscope. The stage of the microscope is moved in the xy direction via 2 coaxial knobs. I need to automated this movement. This can potentially be done by using sleeves with gears that fit on the microscope knobs, stepper motors, etc. I need someone to design the parts to be 3D printed and tell me what components I will need, and write the code for this.
