Thicken STL Models For FDM
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I have 6 small STL files—each under 3 MB—that need a quick update so they print flawlessly on an FDM machine. The job is simple: reinforce one entire side of every model by adding material while leaving the rest of the geometry and key dimensions untouched. I will share screenshots and mark-ups that clarify exactly which face requires extra thickness as soon as we start.
Because these parts will be sliced for FDM, the finished meshes must remain watertight, manifold and free of non-manifold edges or flipped normals. Keep the edits as light as possible; I only want the specified side bulked up for better strength and bed adhesion.
Deliverables:
• Clean, ready-to-print STL files with the chosen side thickened
Acceptance criteria: the modified STLs load error-free in PrusaSlicer, show solid infill on the reinforced face and do not introduce new overhangs or thin walls elsewhere.
Once I verify the updated files slice correctly, the task is complete.
