Wheelchair Wheel-Band Designer

I'm in need of a product designer to help create a physical product, specifically durable plastic or aluminum snap on wheel bands for wheelchairs, to provide a wider wheel contact area to accommodate going across carpet without sinking in. This will be a consumer-facing product, so the design will need to merge functionality with usability and appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design clip-on bands to go on wheelchair wheels to make it easier to move on carpet
- Ensure the product is lightweight and easy to attach to and remove from wheelchair wheels
- Balance functionality with consumer appeal in the design
