Viking Longship Laser-Cut Bottle Holder

I’m ready to turn my sketched idea of a Viking longship bottle holder into a production-ready laser file. The finished model must slot together from 4 mm plywood without glue, so every tab, notch, and mortise needs to be dimensioned for a tight, finger-joint fit. If a slightly different thickness will yield better strength or ease of assembly, let me know up front—I’m open to expert guidance.

Capacity & Layout
• 4 beer bottles lie on each side, inserted from inside the hull with their necks pointing out.
• 2 bottles stand upright at bow and stern.
• 1 larger bottle stands mid-ship as the mast.

Styling
I want a fully authentic Viking look: sweeping hull lines, stylised shields along the gunwale, and carved prow and stern posts. Engraving should feature traditional Viking runes plus dragon/serpent imagery and a few axes or shields for extra flair. Please keep rune legibility in mind when scaling. The reference photo and my flat-pattern sketch are attached.

File & Laser Specs
• Deliver in DXF or SVG (your choice)
• Separate colours/layers for:
– through-cuts (red)
– light score lines / engraving (blue or green)
– optional text guidelines (black, non-cut)
• All paths must be closed, no double lines, sized in millimetres.

What I’ll review for acceptance
1. Parts nest efficiently on standard 600 × 300 mm or 600 × 400 mm sheets.
2. Test-cut swatches show slots locking snugly in 4 mm ply (±0.1 mm tolerance).
3. Engraving artwork is vector-ready with stroke weights set for scoring, not filled.
4. An exploded or numbered assembly diagram accompanies the cut file.
