Update Specific Component CAD Dimensions
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have an existing CAD assembly that works well overall, but a handful of components now need their critical dimensions revised. The geometry and intent of the model remain unchanged; only particular lengths, hole centres and clearances must be updated to new values I will supply.
Scope of work
• Open my original CAD files (STEP and native SolidWorks are available).
• Apply the dimension adjustments only to the identified components; nothing else in the assembly should move or lose its current mates/constraints.
• Maintain feature history so the model stays parametric and easy to edit later.
• Return the modified files in the same formats plus a dimensioned PDF for quick verification.
Acceptance criteria
• All updated dimensions match the figures I provide, within ±0.1 mm tolerance.
• Assembly opens without errors or broken mates.
• No unintended geometry changes outside the specified components.
If you are confident in precision CAD editing and can turn this around quickly, I’ll share the files and the exact dimension table right away.
