USB Rechargeable Round Keychain Light

Job ID: 40490903

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I’m developing a small, round key-chain light that charges via USB and emits a single, consistent beam. I already have the basic concept sketched out, but I need help finalising a production-ready design that is compact, durable, and easy to manufacture.

What I’m after:
• Industrial design and enclosure detailing that keeps the form factor truly pocket-friendly.
• Simple, cost-effective PCB layout with an integrated USB-C (or micro-USB if space dictates) charging circuit, protection, and a white LED driver.
• Mechanical drawings and 3D files (STEP preferred) ready for injection-mould tooling.
• A concise bill of materials with component part numbers that are globally available.

Acceptance criteria:
– The light should run for at least 30 minutes at full brightness on a single charge.
– Overall diameter under 30 mm and thickness under 10 mm.
– All ports and switches must be flush or recessed to avoid accidental activation in a pocket.
– Files and documentation clear enough for a contract manufacturer to quote without further clarification.

If you have experience bringing small consumer electronics from concept to prototype, especially USB-powered gadgets, I’d love to see how you would approach this.

The Project is super Time Tight ... we would need work completed in around 7 -10 Days
