Sketchup Plugin for T3 systems
The goal for the assignment is to create a plug-in that allows distributors to model design requirements using T3 systems in Trimble Sketchup easily and effectively.
The current method for modelling T3 systems is to manually select individual components from our CAD library and align them together creating designs that are structurally viable. Our core component is our patented Connector which has 4 sides, using this connector as a central point we attach tube extrusions to the designed shape using standard lengths or customized tubes to the designed dimension (making unique and extruding material). This is a time consuming process and can be confusing for new users. Ideally we want a method whereby the alignment of different components is minimized creating bulk operations much like the dynamic component feature within sketchup. Attached is a file of a typical stand we would like to create using a plugin feature.
