Structural Review for Building Model

Job ID: 40320640

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m finalising a 3-D model created from an architectural floor plan and need a qualified structural engineer to review two key areas before I issue the drawings for construction.

Load-bearing walls
My current layout shows several internal and perimeter walls acting as primary supports. I’d like you to examine their spans, thicknesses and proposed materials (masonry with reinforced concrete cores) and confirm overall structural integrity. A short note pinpointing any weak points or overstressed openings is all that’s required; if reinforcement or slight repositioning is advisable, please flag it clearly.

Roof structure
The model contains a pitched roof framed in timber trusses. I need accurate load calculations—dead, live and wind—and recommendations for optimising the design so weight and cost stay down without sacrificing safety. If you spot a smarter truss spacing or alternative member size, include it.

Deliverables
• Marked-up PDF or screenshot set highlighting any changes
• Brief calculation sheet (hand or software) for roof loads
• Summary memo with recommendations, ready for my architect to incorporate

Acceptance
I’ll consider the job complete once your notes are incorporated and all queries answered in one follow-up round.

I work in Revit, but you can supply feedback from any analysis package you prefer (ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, hand calcs, etc.). Turnaround within a week would be ideal.
