Structural IFC Model Creation
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 NZD
I already have a complete architectural IFC and now need a matching structural IFC that I can trust for
• quantity take-offs,
• fabrication/shop drawings, and
• clear layout plans and king post trusses with cutting lists.
Scope of the structural model
– Include: concrete and blockwork outlines, the single structural steel portal with all plates, bolts and connections, plus full timber framing and Lumberlok connections.
– Exclude: reinforcing steel and any cladding or wall linings.
Key requirements
• Build the model directly from the supplied architectural IFC.
• Produce a clean structural IFC coordinated to NZS 3604 good-practice.
• Work in MiTek 20/20 or MiTek Structure so I can reuse the data in my own workflow.
Final deliverables
1. Coordinated structural IFC ready for import.
2. Schedule of concrete, blockwork, steel, timber and hardware quantities.
3. Shop drawings for the steel portal, plates and connections.
4. Layout plans and cutting lists for wall frames and king-post trusses.
Accuracy and constructability are essential; the output must let me order materials and release drawings to fabrication without re-drafting. If you are comfortable with MiTek tools and NZS 3604 detailing, let’s get started.
