SolidWorks Electric Arc Furnace Simulation

Job ID: 39812466

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I need a detailed 3-D simulation of an electric arc furnace built and analysed entirely in SolidWorks or similar software. The core objectives are clear: show realistic heat distribution, demonstrate effective temperature control and illustrate the full material-melting process from cold charge to tapped steel. The furnace will be used to melt polymer produccts.

You will start by modelling the furnace vessel, electrodes, refractory lining and surrounding shell to the correct scale. Once geometry is approved, run a transient thermal/flow study to visualise heat patterns and predict melt times at various power inputs. I also expect you to set up temperature-control scenarios— electrode regulation, power ramp-ups, and holding phases—so we can see how each sequence affects the bath and the refractory.

Deliverables
• Native SolidWorks model with all study setups
• Thermal and structural results files (plots, animations, raw data)
• Concise technical report explaining assumptions, boundary conditions, material properties, mesh strategy, and key findings on heat distribution, temperature control efficiency, and melt progress

Acceptance criteria
The simulation must converge without warnings, predict temperatures that align with published EAF benchmarks, and clearly show molten pool formation and growth over time.

If you have previous furnace or high-temperature process models, reference them briefly in your proposal so I can gauge fit. I’m ready to get started as soon as the right specialist is on board.
