SolidWorks Drawer Camera Mount Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a clean, manufacturable 3-D model of a compact camera mount that fits inside a drawer. The final model should open natively in SolidWorks 2021 (or newer) and be export-ready as a STEP file for suppliers who do not use SolidWorks.
Scope
• Model every component required for the mount, including the drawer interface, any hinge or slide features, and a simple camera attachment point.
• Keep wall thicknesses and clearances realistic for standard CNC machining or FDM printing so the part can move freely without post-processing.
• Add basic motion studies or mates that demonstrate how the camera pivots or deploys when the drawer is opened. No detailed FEA is required—just proof the mechanism works without interference.
Deliverables
1. Native SolidWorks assembly (.sldasm) and all part files (.sldprt).
2. Neutral STEP export of the complete assembly.
3. A brief PDF with exploded views and key dimensions so a fabricator can quote immediately.
Acceptance Criteria
• Files open error-free; mates drive smoothly.
• Overall dimensions stay within 150 mm × 90 mm × 60 mm (my drawer’s available space).
• Camera attachment plate uses a standard 1/4-20 UNC thread.
