Smart Coffee Vending Machine Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m putting together a fully featured, on-demand coffee vending machine that will grind the customer’s chosen beans, brew immediately, and dispose of grounds and rinse water without any manual intervention. The overall concept is already proven feasible with modular off-the-shelf sub-assemblies; what I now need is a mechanical engineer who can turn the concept into a coherent, production-ready design.
Your task is to develop every core mechanism—bean grinding, precision brewing, and automated waste handling—and integrate them seamlessly inside a compact, serviceable enclosure. I’ll supply preliminary sketches and a list of preferred modular components; you’ll refine the layout, create detailed CAD models, specify motors, sensors, and actuators, and produce manufacturing drawings and a complete bill of materials. If you have experience designing small appliance gear trains, augers, or fluid management systems, that will be invaluable.

• Manufacturing drawings and tolerances for each custom part
• Motor, gearbox, and sensor specifications matched to duty cycles
• Bill of materials with sourcing notes for modular components
