Second Life Character Weight Painting

Job ID: 39911143

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’ve finished modeling a mid-poly Second Life character and already have it rigged to the standard SL skeleton. What I still need is clean, game-ready weight painting and potentially fixing the rigging so the avatar bends naturally in-world.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Re-paint all vertex groups so joints in the shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and fingers deform smoothly without collapsing or candy-wrapper twists.
• Keep weights compatible with the default Second Life armature (Avastar or equivalent).
• Return a .blend file (and an exported .dae for quick testing) with your updated weights.
• Create a uv map that is compatible with Maitreya.

I’ll supply the current .blend, reference poses, and a short list of problem areas already identified. Success means the avatar passes Second Life’s upload weight limit and looks clean in basic dance and sit animations.

If you’ve handled SL avatars before, especially with Avastar, I’d love to see examples.
