Rooftop Tin Shade Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m planning to cover a residential rooftop that measures 60 ft × 110 ft with a durable tin-sheet shade and need a complete structural design package. tilt should be towards 110 ft with 10 degree mainly to put solar panels on top of it. distance between wo columns is 50 ft The shade must sit securely on the roof slab, which will sustain 150km per hour wind cope with local wind and rain loads, and integrate drainage so water never pools or seeps into the slab.
Scope of work
• Concept layout showing column / truss spacing that keeps the roof clear and usable.
• Structural calculations for members, connections, and anchoring—steel grade, section sizes, and fasteners—so the frame comfortably meets safety factors.
• Detailed GA and fabrication drawings in DWG and PDF, ready for a fabricator.
• Material take-off and basic cost estimate for steel, fasteners, and 0.45-0.50 mm corrugated tin (or equivalent) sheets.
• A simple 3-D visualization to help me see the final look before I approve fabrication.
Key considerations
– Residential use means aesthetics matter; slim sections or concealed gutters are welcome.
– The design must be light enough for the existing roof load capacity yet strong enough to withstand wind uplift.
– I’ll need guidance on on-site bolting or welding so installation stays practical without heavy machinery.
Acceptance criteria
1. Calculations demonstrate compliance with IS 875, Eurocode, or an equivalent recognized standard.
2. Drawings are dimensionally accurate and coordinated, with section lists matching the material take-off.
3. All files deliver in editable CAD plus PDF format.
