Rock Scan to BIM Specialist Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am seeking a BIM specialist with a keen expertise in rock scanning and processing. The task at hand involves working with scanned files to develop detailed 3D models, point cloud data, and mesh files for two rocks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing scanned files for two rocks: Each rock has been scanned twice; the specialist will need to seamlessly merge these scans to create a comprehensive and accurate representation of each rock ( As much as possible, not necesary to the closest mm, you will be restricted by the denisty so it will be probably to the nearest 10 to 12 mm )
- Creation of 3D Models: The specialist will be required to use the scans to produce detailed 3D models of the rocks. These models will need to be highly accurate and detailed.
- Developing Point Cloud Data: The specialist will need to generate point cloud data from the scanned files. This will involve organizing and interpreting the scan data to create a comprehensive point cloud.
- Mesh Creation: The specialist will need to create a mesh for each rock, ensuring that the meshes are accurate and detailed representations of the rocks.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in BIM software and rock and organic shapes scanning technology knowledge is extra
- Prior experience in similar projects is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex data.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with the project team.
- Knowledge in point clouds registeration and softwares such as Navis and Rhino
we reccommend using code on software plugins such as grasshopper or a special plugin for cloud registeration instead of doing it manual, and have it manually cross checked
