Road Cycling Aluminum Chainring Design & Manufacture
Budget: $200 – $500 USD
I'm looking for a 3D/CNC professional with experience in designing and manufacturing bicycle components, specifically chainrings. The project involves:
- Designing a new chainring specifically for road cycling. Creativity and understanding of road cycling requirements will be key.
- Manufacturing this chainring from aluminum. Expertise in working with aluminum and understanding of its properties in the context of cycling components is crucial.
The ideal freelancer for this project will have a strong background in both design and manufacturing, with a particular focus on cycling components. A passion for cycling would be a great advantage, as would a keen understanding of the needs and challenges of road cycling.
Specifications are to accommodate a steep hill climb event with a special 1x crank configuration.
22T chainring to mount on SRAM Red AXS crankset, 8-bolt, road chainline (43-44mm), tooth profile compatible with SRAM Red Flattop 12 spd chain.
Result would be similar to attached photo but a smaller ring paired with a SRAM Red AXS crank.
