Production Optimization Mechanics
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I'm looking for a mechanical engineer. I have the CAD plans for a functional robot ready, but before I manufacture the first batch I want to simplify its production. I am looking for a mechanical engineer to review and optimize the schemes with the following main objectives:
Facilitate team assembly.
Increase the durability of key parts.
Reduce the overall cost of manufacturing.
The area that most needs improvement is the movement system (engines, transmissions and supports). In addition, in the external housing I need the number of parts to be assembled to be as minimal as possible without compromising rigidity or aesthetics.
Deliverable I hope:
1. Updated CAD models (SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent) with proposed modifications.
2. Revised and optimised Materials List (BOM) with supplier suggestions or alternative materials that balance lightness and strength.
Three. Cutting plan and brief assembly guide illustrating the new assembly flow.
I have all the original files and will share them at the start of the project. If you have experience cutting costs without losing quality and know good design practices for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), I'd love to collaborate with you
