Polish Proof of Concept Design into Injection Moldable Assembly

Job ID: 33076404

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD

Hello,

I am a Canadian Inventor. I have made a youtube video about the project that was for an engineer that ended up being to busy to finish the project. The video is 12 mins long.

I develop hydroponic plug and play gardens. I have already developed a product in the past, and found the process very expensive so I took the initiative to learn 3D CAD a bit so I could model 95% of the product before I sent it to an engineer to polish up for injection molding. I do not have any formal degrees and am self taught from books and videos. So I might miss things code related or general design mistakes. This is where you come in. I would like you to look over my peice to confirm its "Injection mold..ablility?" The piece will need to be polished before it is injection mold ready, So I will need those services. Next, I have connection points I would like to have an engineer look over to make sure they have the best possible chance to work. I 3D printed all my pieces, however the tolerances are not a good, and I have to make pieces with .5 mm smaller to fit perfectly. This will effect my final product, but I cannot really check to make sure the final product will fit because I can't 3D print to test. I hope this makes sense

1. I have an injection mold "Tray" that is the most important part and all other pieces rely on it. This is the bulk of the project. It needs to be polished and perfect so it can be sent for making an injection mold. The piece is complicated in that all other pieces rely on it, so a change on it, will change other pieces. So it is important to understand the whole system before making any major changes.
2. Pillars that connect the trays are designed to be extruded die and will just friction fit into the tray. However I need a professional to insure the connection is perfect.
3. Pillar for the water side is designed for orings (best I could) to seal water to have a no hose design, this would need to be looked at an polished.
4. The tray has undercuts that the previous engineer mentioned will need to be redesigned.
5. The electrical pillar side needs a better design for the injection mold to reduce cost and simplify assembly.
6. The reservoir does not have drafting and would need design changes to draft for vaccum forming.
7. Overall assembly of the rest of the system.
If you are interested, I can have a 1 hour meeting to go into details. budget 2000 but flexible.
Timeline is 2 - 4 weeks.
Likley Involves Designing 4 parts using current design dimensions and shape to be injection Moldable. I have a full scale prototype that works.
Likley need to design:
- Tray
-Reservoir
-Collums
- Electrical Cord Holder

I have attached some files
"Feb 2022 New Tray..." The most recent design, only features 1 layer
"Full Build for Kickstarter..." - An older design but assembly of the system as concept
"Light Coverr" - Issues with this piece exporting in full building
"Tray no Nubs" - Tray in most recent design has some artifacts that create issues in solidworks so this removes them so the object is not seen as a surface..hopefully

System was designed by me in Fusion 360, I am able to offer other formats if needed.
