Photorealistic Garden Extension Impact Rendering
Budget: £50 – £250 GBP
I need a set of photorealistic visuals that show exactly how my neighbour’s proposed redevelopment will look from my own garden and patio. The terrace dates from the 1890s, so the final images have to feel authentic to late-Victorian London brickwork and proportions, but the brief is intentionally light on hyper-realism: a clear, true-to-scale outline with the primary architectural features is all that’s required.
Scope of the build
• Full-width ground-floor extension (our main worry)
• Smaller additions on the first and second floors
What the images must emphasise
Obstruction of our current view and any noticeable loss of daylight caused by those three new volumes.
What I will supply
• High-resolution reference photos taken from fixed points on the patio and at the back of the garden (these set the camera angles).
• PDF plans, elevations, and key dimensions extracted from the planning submission.
• Any extra measurements you need to marry the model to the photos accurately.
Preferred approach
Feel free to use AI upscaling or texture generation, SketchUp + V-Ray, Blender, Lumion, or another toolchain you are comfortable with; consistency with the supplied photos and correct scale matters more than the software behind it.
Deliverables
1. Two to three high-resolution photomontages (PNG or JPEG) perfectly aligned with my reference photos.
2. The underlying 3D file or layered Photoshop file so I can revisit angles if needed.
3. A brief note explaining the camera matching and lighting choices, confirming that the dimensions match the submitted plans.
Acceptance criteria
• Each extension’s outline is clearly visible against the existing terrace.
• Relative heights, depths, and roof pitches correspond to the planning drawings within a tolerance of ±50 mm.
• Daylight impact is represented through realistic shadow casting at midday in mid-June (London).
