Open-Plan Kitchen Layout Design

I’m renovating our main floor and want a fresh set of eyes to shape an open-plan kitchen and living room that feels warm, modern and, above all, makes the most of every centimetre of storage and circulation. I already have room measurements, rough floor-plans, appliance specs, IKEA cabinet modules and sofa dimensions (3.4 m and 2.86 m) ready to share. What I need now is a creative partner who enjoys testing different kitchen-to-lounge configurations, shifting islands, tweaking run lengths and generally squeezing the smartest functionality from the space.

The priority is efficient use of space and storage, so I’m keen to see how you might zone prep, cooking and seating areas while keeping traffic flow smooth. I’m especially interested in experimenting with alternative layouts, though feel free to suggest colours, finishes or lighting concepts that support the plan.
