Mountain Home Architectural Plans
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I need a skilled architect to design and plan a new home with a cabin style exterior but modern (not wood or planks) interior. I'll provide pictures of designs me and my wife like.
It's for a piece of land in a mountain with a cliff like view on the west side of the lot. The home should be facing that way to provide the view to the main floor deck and second floor windows.
We are looking to build 2 floors plus the basement. The main floor will have the living and dining space, kitchen, mudroom + laundry space. The top floor will have the main bedroom + in-suite bathroom, 2 other bedrooms and another full bathroom. The basement will have an optional indoor pool, 2 or 3 bedrooms (depending on space), another kitchen, entertaining space, and a full bathroom.
The garage must provide space for 3 cars and storage for season accesories.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong architectural design skills.
- Ability to provide detailed and comprehensive home plans.
- Open to long-term collaboration as there is no immediate time constraint.
Deliverables:
- 3D Rendering of the home, including source 3D files.
- Sheet of exterior elevations. Display the layout of the building from the outside perspective. This typically includes the front, sides, and rear elevation as well as windows, doors, and exterior materials (such as siding, brick, etc).
- Sheet of floor plans. Focus on the view of the house as if it were sliced horizontally at a level that would include all doors and window openings.
- Sheet of foundation plan. Present a top view of the footings, foundation walls, and the location of posts, beams, and load bearing walls as necessary.
- Sheet of electrical plan. Shows the location and type of all lighting fixtures, switches, and receptacles.
- Sheet of miscellaneous details. Includes construction details that can include framing details, wall sections, stair sections, etc.
