Modern Makeover for 2019 D-Log Home
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I'm looking for help to enhance the curb appeal and functionality of my 2019 D-Log home. The vision includes:
- An extended entry on the side of the house (photo ending 0609)
- A 15x20 extension on the front, connecting to panoramic folding doors leading to a wrap around deck
- A potential garage on the right side of the house
- A potential bedroom on the W side of the home (photo ending 0453)
The design should be modern and may require removing some exterior logs (corners) and replacing them with a maintenance-free option. I'm open to creative suggestions and will reward the winning design.
Preferred materials include:
- Wood, James Hardie for other composite for the exterior
- Folding doors for the panoramic view
- Option of Engineered siding or large tiles, composite, for a modern, maintenance-free look
Ideal skills for this project include:
- Architectural design
- Experience with modern home aesthetics
- Familiarity with maintenance-free materials
- Creative problem-solving for potential design challenges.
- Open to having windows replaced where structurally sound to enlarge or omit entirely for better design.
