Modern Barndominium Layout Design

I own 20 acres with a picturesque pond and want a clear, well-thought-out master-plan that shows how a modern barndominium style home and workshop can sit naturally on the land. The first step I need from you is a site concept—driveway routing from the road, parking/turn-around areas, and the exact orientation of the building so the main living spaces capture pond views while the workshop side stays convenient to deliveries and future outbuildings.

The structure itself should read as one cohesive, blended design rather than two separate boxes. Think modern lines, steel framing and the warm, lofty feel you get from an open floor plan and expansive windows. Interior traffic flow, shop access, ceiling heights and natural light are all priorities.

Deliverables I’m expecting:
• A to-scale site plan showing driveway, footprint, and primary vistas
• Floor plan(s) that combine living quarters with the workshop in a seamless layout
• Exterior elevations or 3-D visuals that communicate the modern barndominium aesthetic

I’ll supply a topographic survey and any additional photos you need once we start. If energy-efficient details or material suggestions fit naturally into your concept, I’m open to them, but the must-haves are the open plan, large windows and the blended house/workshop form.
