3D Modeling for 3D Printing – Custom Spacers & Functional Parts for Bicycles, Retail Fixtures & More

Job ID: 39281979

Budget: €12 – €18 EUR

I’m looking for a reliable freelancer with experience in 3D modeling for 3D printing, who can support me with recurring projects. The focus is on custom spacers for road bikes with fully integrated cable routing, but also includes parts for retail shop fixtures and other functional adapters or holders.

I use an iPhone 16 Pro with LiDAR-based 3D scanning apps (like Polycam) to capture the geometry of existing parts such as stems, spacers, tubes, etc. I will provide STL or OBJ scans, plus sketches, dimensions, and reference photos.

I print everything on a Bambu Lab P1S with AMS, so I prefer models that are:
• easy to print (ideally support-free),
• mechanically functional and durable,
• and dimensionally accurate.

What I’m looking for:
• Someone skilled in CAD software such as Fusion 360, Solidworks, Rhino, etc.
• Experience with mesh editing and reverse engineering from 3D scans
• Solid understanding of print-optimized design (wall thicknesses, tolerances, layer orientation)
• Bonus: interest in long-term collaboration

Deliverables:
• Print-ready STL files, optionally STEP files
• Clean, watertight models with proper tolerances
• Optional: design feedback if improvements are needed for printability

Please include examples of your past work. If you’ve modeled any bike-related parts, that’s a big plus!
