Project Overview

We are seeking an expert 3D CAD Industrial Designer with a strong background in surface modeling and product rendering to develop high-quality 3D CAD surface renderings for a next-generation underwater diving helmet designed for a tourism venture. The helmet is intended for a premium helmet diving experience in controlled underwater environments, emphasising safety, comfort, and aesthetics.

This project will involve translating a conceptual design into a professional, detailed 3D CAD surface model, suitable for phase 2 interior CFD modelling design. To be clear, this is stage 1 of a multiphase project.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop a high-quality 3D CAD surface model of the diving helmet based client aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Ensure the aesthetic and ergonomic design aligns with the intended use in commercial underwater tourism environments.
• Provide realistic renderings for presentations, including multiple perspectives, transparent views, and exploded diagrams (if necessary
• Deliver STP, IGS, and high-resolution rendered files suitable for prototyping, presentation, and manufacturing evaluation.
• Work collaboratively to refine and adjust designs based on feedback.

Required Skills & Experience
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
• Strong surface modeling and industrial design skills with experience in complex organic and ergonomic shapes..
• Ability to create photo-realistic renderings for concept visualisation.
• Understanding of manufacturing constraints related to injection molding, composite fabrication, or CNC machining is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with engineering specifications.
• Experience with subsea or water-resistant product design is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
