3D Model Preparation for Printing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a detailed SketchUp file of a residential property that I need prepared for 3D printing. The model is 88MB and includes a lot of internal details.
Key tasks:
- Export to STL
- Remove all assets outside the building (other nearby buildings and trees etc), leaving just the single property
- Orient the model for printing
- Split the STL into three layers (each floor) for easy viewing
- Resize for a total print size of approximately 25cm x 25cm
- Utilize expert knowledge of 3D printing to ensure the model can be successfully printed by an online service
The main purpose of this model is for private scale model display, so a balanced level of exterior and interior details is important. The preferred printing method is FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling).
Skills and experience needed:
