3D Model Optimization for Manufacturability

Job ID: 38124344

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I have a 3D model of a consumer electronics enclosure in .STL format. I need a talented designer who can optimize the model with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM). The primary goal is to ensure that the enclosure is not only visually appealing but also structurally sound and manufacturable for Injection Moulding.

Key aspects I'm looking to address in the optimization process include:
- Material Selection: Recommending the most suitable material for the enclosure considering its end-use and manufacturing process.
- Wall Thickness Optimization: Making sure that the walls of the enclosure are neither too thin to weaken its structure nor too thick to waste material.
- Assembly Considerations: Ensuring that the design is conducive to easy and cost-effective assembly, potentially by incorporating features like snap fits or alignment aids.

The ideal candidate for this project should have:
- Preferably use Autodesk Fusion 360
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software and experience optimizing models for manufacturing.
- Knowledge of materials and their properties, as well as a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to balance visual aesthetics with functional and manufacturability requirements.
