Medical Device CAD Refinement

Job ID: 39936841

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I have an existing handheld medical-device design saved in both STEP and native SolidWorks formats. I now need those files refined so they are truly manufacturing-ready.

Here’s what the job involves:

• Open and clean up every part and assembly, rebuilding the feature tree so it’s fully parametric and error-free.
• Apply the geometry tweaks, wall-thickness changes, and draft angles we agree on during a brief kickoff call to ensure proper DFM for plastic injection and machined inserts.
• Update material definitions inside SolidWorks so mass properties reflect the correct medical-grade polymer and stainless components.
• Add or correct all dimensional, GD&T, and note callouts on drawing sheets so a supplier can quote and build without ambiguity.
• Supply the final deliverables as:
– SolidWorks 2022 (or compatible) parts, assemblies, and drawings
– A clean STEP export for each updated component and the full assembly
– PDF drawing pack for quick reference

Acceptance criteria: every file must rebuild without errors, show zero suppressed or dangling features, and pass SolidWorks “Verification on Rebuild.” I will also dry-run the exported STL in our existing 3-D printed jig; any clashes must be resolved before sign-off.

Experience with ISO 13485 workflows, surface modeling, and tight-tolerance plastic parts is strongly preferred. I’m ready to start immediately and expect clear, timely communication, version-controlled hand-offs, and one revision cycle included.
