Lab Mini Spray Dryer Design

Job ID: 40360862

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m developing a compact, continuous-operation spray dryer for laboratory use—target capacity is roughly 5 L/h—and I’m looking for a mechanical engineer who can turn the concept into a build-ready package.

The system must incorporate:
• Drying chamber sized for 5 L/h throughput
• Rotary atomizer as the chosen atomizing method
• Electric heating elements appropriate for lab safety and control
• Blower and airflow ducting tuned to the thermal load
• Cyclone separator or equivalent powder collector
• All wetted parts in stainless steel

Deliverables I need from you:
• Complete 3D CAD model (STEP or native format)
• 2D fabrication drawings (PDF/DWG)
• Comprehensive Bill of Materials
• Basic overview calculation report covering heat balance, airflow volume, and cyclone sizing

Design for manufacturability is important, so please apply realistic wall thicknesses, tolerances, and standard component choices wherever possible. If you’ve engineered spray dryers, fluid-bed systems, or similar thermal process equipment before, include examples or brief summaries in your response. I’m ready to move quickly once the right expertise is on board.
