Landscape Architect / Designer Needed for Inclusive Forest Trail Concept Design
## Project Description
We are looking for a landscape architect, architect, environmental designer, or creative studio to develop a concept design for an inclusive nature-based trail in a protected forest area.
The goal is to create a low-impact, sustainable trail that supports forest wellness, forest therapy, selfness, relaxation, mindful walking, education, and inclusive access to nature.
The concept should respect the natural environment and require minimal intervention. We do not want heavy construction, concrete, large structures, or anything that would disturb the forest setting. The design should use natural, recycled, removable, and eco-friendly materials such as wood, recycled wood, natural textures, discreet signage, QR codes, and simple resting elements.
The trail should include several small thematic stations for activities such as breathing, silent walking, forest therapy, digital detox, sensory contact with nature, rest areas, reflection points, and guided group activities.
The design should also consider accessibility and inclusion, including resting points, clear signage, tactile elements, audio/QR guidance, and at least one more accessible section where possible.
## We need the freelancer to provide:
* Overall concept design and visual direction
* Schematic trail layout
* Design of entrance/info point
* Concept design for several thematic stations
* Suggestions for materials and eco-friendly construction
* Basic sketches or 3D visualizations
* Simple specification of proposed elements
* Final PDF presentation suitable for donors and project partners
## Ideal freelancer:
* Experience in landscape architecture, public space design, eco-tourism, sustainable design, forest trails, park infrastructure, or inclusive design
* Ability to create clean, natural, modern, and realistic visual concepts
* Experience with 3D visualization is a plus
This is not a construction project at this stage. We need a professional concept design that can be used for presentation, fundraising, partner discussions, and further technical development.
A more detailed document with an explanation of all parts of the project, more detailed activities and requirements, and some ideas of us will be given to the chosen freelancer.
