Highly Detailed GT Race Car Model
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I am looking for a skilled 3D artist to create a high-quality model of a GT300 race car concept for my automotive brand, Dunne.
This project is focused on building a realistic, motorsport-inspired car that could fit into a Super GT grid. The design is already developed, and I will provide reference images and a clear design direction. What I need is someone who can take that vision and turn it into a clean, detailed, and well-structured 3D model.
The car is called the Dunne VXR-6 GT. It’s a front-mid engine GT300-style race car with a long, aggressive nose, a rear-set cabin, and a wide, planted stance. The design is meant to look both beautiful and hostile—sharp, controlled, and engineered rather than overcomplicated.
In terms of proportions, the car should feel realistic:
* Length around 4650 mm
* Width around 2000 mm
* Height around 1150 mm
* Long front section with a tight rear
The front end should be low and wide, with a large central intake and sharp, angled “predator-style” headlights. The side profile should be clean and smooth, with an integrated side intake behind the front wheel and no unnecessary shapes or interruptions on the door panel. The rear should feature a sculpted design with a functional diffuser and an integrated race wing, not something that looks bolted on.
A key part of this project is keeping the aero realistic and intentional. I don’t want random vents or exaggerated styling—everything should feel like it serves a purpose, similar to a real endurance race car. The overall philosophy is clean, controlled aerodynamics rather than messy or overly aggressive GT-style add-ons.
For the livery, the base is matte or satin black (or exposed carbon), with minimal but sharp accents:
* Yellow (#FFD00E) used on edges like the splitter, side skirts, and diffuser
* Fuchsia (#FF00FF) used for thin flow lines and lighting accents
The side of the car should remain clean, with no placeholder shapes or distorted areas. The livery should follow the body lines naturally.
I would like the final model to include:
* Full exterior model of the car
* Clean topology (preferably quad-based)
* UV unwrapped and ready for texturing
* Basic materials applied (carbon, paint, glass, metal)
It would be great if the model is structured properly with separate parts (body panels, aero components, wheels, glass, etc.), so it can be used for rendering or potentially in a game engine.
Preferred file formats are FBX, OBJ, or BLEND.
This is not meant to be a fantasy or overly futuristic design—it should feel like a real, high-level race car that could exist in a professional motorsport environment.
If you have experience with hard-surface modelling, especially cars or race cars, that’s a big plus. Please share examples of similar work if possible.
