Help with merging mesh with armature (Exported from Blender) to another exact armature (In Unity)

Job ID: 32729841

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Hello,

I have two existing 3D Characters in Unity with the exact same armature.

I would like to transfer Sweater from one model's armature to the first. The model that has the sweater is combined into a singular skinned mesh, so I cannot separate it in Unity alone.

I am able to export the model with the sweater from Unity into Blender along with its armature. After this, I am able to delete all other parts of the model not needed, and keep only the sweater. I am able to export the sweater model with the armature back into Unity as a skinned mesh again.

However, I am not able to merge the sweater to the new armature's root that I would like it on, and would like some help with this if possible.

I've attached some pictures to try visualize what I mean.

If you have knowledge on how to do this properly, WITHOUT having multiple armatures, I would appreciate any help you could give. If a solution can be found, then I would like to know how to be able to do it myself for future items I wish to merge.
