Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled 3D Generalist to optimize high-poly 3D furniture models (about 5 pieces) for use in an augmented reality (AR) environment. The goal is to reduce polygon counts for AR performance without distorting the original mesh or losing visual quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Optimize high-poly 3D furniture models for AR headsets, focusing on reducing polygon count while maintaining model integrity.
Simplify complex models for real-time performance without sacrificing quality.
Ensure proper UV mapping and texture quality after optimization.
Collaborate with the team to meet AR platform requirements (file size, polygon limits, etc.).
Requirements:
Experience in optimizing 3D models for AR/VR, games, or similar real-time applications.
Proficiency in 3D software like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
Strong skills in polygon reduction, retopology, UV mapping, and texture baking.
Portfolio showcasing relevant work in high-poly to low-poly optimization.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with AR/VR headsets and real-time engines (Unity, Unreal Engine).
Experience with PBR textures and performance tuning for AR.
