Fantasy/History FPS Game Design & Development
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 AUD
Stylised FPS fantasy/history RPG! Think a mix between TF2 and Avowed. I’ve already near finished the board game version, which is where I’ve established the setting, story, character types, weapons and abilities, and I know (from a player’s and creative’s perspective) that this would translate to a fun FPS with a lot juice!
I’ve already compiled a fair bit of data in terms of design and mechanics, and now need someone who can bring the ideas to the 3D multiplayer format!
This would probably come under the umbrella of a ‘startup’ as I’m not a trained game designer, though I have a bit of experience with music studies and projects (albums and recording)
Aesthetic aspirations would be:
-Team Fortress 2
-Cel Damage Overdrive
-Borderlands 4
I’m looking to source the following roles:
-Character and weapon modelling
-Map design
-Gameplay mechanics and implementation
I have access to other creatives for audio components, so this would be purely visual and gameplay focussed work, with the goal to embed quirkiness and uniqueness into the look and feel!
The aim is to have solid fundamentals eg. simple but varied mechanics, fluid movement and intuitive controls, stylised map design, and identifiable characters.
If this sounds realistic, I’d love to hear from you and talk potentials!
