EnergyPlus Ventilation System Modelling
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am currently seeking the expertise of a proficient freelancer who can competently use the EnergyPlus software to conduct building energy modeling. The focus of this project is primarily on:
- Ventilation system optimization
In this project, your tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Utilizing EnergyPlus software to create a comprehensive ventilation system model
- Strategically analyzing the outcomes to forecast energy consumption
- Proposing optimizations based on these analyses
Given the nature of this project, the ideal freelancer would have:
- Proven proficiency in using the EnergyPlus software or similar tools
- A sound understanding of HVAC system optimization
- Previous experience in ventilation system modeling
Demonstrate the ability to create a simple building model using EnergyPlus.
• Develop an understanding of the BESTEST method (ASHRAE Standard 140) for comparative tests of building simulation models, and apply the method to compare the outputs from the EnergyPlus model (Case 600FF and Case 600).
• Use parametric analysis to sense-check the model
• Demonstrate an understanding of the sources of uncertainties in the simple building model, including
the model limitations, assumptions, missing information, and input errors.
• Undertake a sensitivity analysis of the simple building model
• Apply a multi-objective optimisation method to optimise the design parameters, including shading and daylight control, of the simple building model.
