Energy-Efficient Retrofit Design for Heritage Building
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I'm seeking a professional/PhD student who can help me write a report and propose final design (of.an already hypothetically retrofitted uni building) that will be energy efficient and resilient to extreme hot weather events. You will undertake the study using an energy simulation tool of your choice, with DesignBuilder/EnergyPlus being the suggested tool. The goal is to make it more energy-efficient and resilient to extreme hot weather events. This project will involve utilising an energy simulation tool - preferably DesignBuilder or EnergyPlus.
Key Requirements:
- The primary focus of the energy simulation should be on improving insulation and thermal performance
- The final design needs to reduce energy consumption, lower utility costs, and ultimately improve indoor comfort
Ideal Freelancer:
- Strong background in architecture, mechanical engineering or building engineering
- Extensive experience with energy simulation tools, particularly DesignBuilder or EnergyPlus
- Proven track record in designing energy-efficient buildings
