End-to-End Mechanical Design Engineering

I have an idea that needs to be transformed into a fully engineered mechanical solution, starting from a blank sheet. There are no existing drawings, CAD files, or performance specifications yet, so the first part of the engagement will be collaborating with me to capture requirements, establish functional targets, and agree on the design envelope.

Once the groundwork is set, the core scope is mechanical design. Depending on what you determine is best for the concept, this could involve 3D modelling in a mainstream platform such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or Inventor, detailed part and assembly drawings, and—if the design warrants it—product-level development tasks like basic thermal or stress analysis to prove feasibility before prototyping.

Deliverables
• Requirements brief drafted from our discovery sessions
• Native CAD models and fully dimensioned drawings ready for manufacture
• A concise design report that summarises assumptions, key calculations or simulations, and recommended next steps

Acceptance criteria
The CAD data must open error-free in the latest release of the chosen software, drawings must conform to ISO or ASME Y14.5 standards for GD&T, and the final report should clearly link design decisions back to the agreed requirements.
