Electronic Holder 3D Design
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m wanting to undermount (for storage) my Gen 3 Starlink under the floor in the boot of my Tesla Model Y. It’s just essentially carpet covered chipboard so can be screwed into.
I visualise a bracket that can be screwed onto the underside of the floor (with countersunk wood screws) that the Starlink just slides into for storage. The top/back would be open to allow it to slide in, and when the floor is in place the back of the car would stop it sliding around. I’ve attempted (and I’m no illustrator) to show you how this might look including an actual photo of me holding it in place and drawing how the bracket would fit.. I was wondering if this was something you could model and make as a one off?
I’ve also included the 3D Models of the Starlink as well as the specs page so you have an idea of size.
- Can effectively hold and secure electronic devices
- Is practical and easy to install
- Is sturdy and capable of supporting weights up to 5 kg (11 lbs)
Experience in industrial design and knowledge of 3D manufacturing methods are essential for this task. Knowledge of electronics and their typical measurements and weight considerations is highly advantageous.
