Develop a cloud based Application that can edit .stl files
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am looking for a skilled developer to create a cloud-based application that can edit .stl files for Dental Laboratories. The user will upload files of a patient's upper and/or lower teeth, select their preferences, we edit, and make available to download. The files then will be 3D printed by the user. The application should have both basic and advanced editing features to get models ready for print. Existing products will be demoed when this project is closed. I am looking for a simple and modern design focused on displaying information. I am open to suggestions for programming languages and frameworks to use. The application should be compatible with multiple devices.
Features will include:
Basic: adding height to an object, hollowing, trimming, adding drain holes, adding text to the object (embossed or raised), exporting edited files, taking measurements, determining the circumference of an tooth, determining the circumference of an object from a captured photo, extruding model, free forming model. Existing products will be demoed when this project is closed.
Advanced: selecting a tooth(user defined), reducing selection, extruding the selection and free forming. A demo of me doing this manually will be given when the project closes. This feature and, determining the circumference of a tooth, will set us apart from the other sites on the market.
I use MeshMixer on a daily basis and have also used Blender for Dental from time to time.
