Detailed Mechanical Product Design

Job ID: 40417349

Budget: $200 – $500 USD

I have already settled on a solid concept and now need an experienced mechanical engineer to push the product through its detailed design phase. The goal is to transform my validated concept into manufacturing-ready documentation and models.

You will start from my existing sketches and rough CAD layouts, refine the geometry, select suitable materials and standard components, check tolerances, and ensure the whole assembly can be produced cost-effectively. A light round of FEA or similar stress/fit analysis is expected so we can confirm performance before I invest in tooling.

Deliverables I will review for acceptance:
• Native 3D CAD files (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred, STEP for exchange)
• Fully dimensioned 2D drawings with tolerances and surface finishes called out
• Basic FEA/report outlining key load cases and factors of safety
• Itemised BOM with material and finish notes

I am happy to walk through the current concept, key functional requirements, and any design constraints on a quick call, then leave you to iterate toward a manufacturable solution. If this sounds like a fit, tell me about similar detailed designs you have completed and the CAD packages you work in most comfortably.
