DesignBuilder CFD Modeling for natural ventilation in a traditional house case study

Job ID: 37029452

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am looking for a skilled freelancer who can assist me with a CFD modeling project. The project involves conducting interior airflow simulations for a medium-sized traditional house (1,000-2,000 sq ft) and focusing on flow visualization.

Skills and experience required:
- Proficiency in DesignBuilder CFD modeling software
- Strong understanding of interior airflow dynamics
- Experience in conducting flow visualization simulations
- Knowledge of traditional house architecture and ventilation systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret simulation results accurately
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

The ideal candidate should be able to create accurate and realistic simulations to visualize the airflow patterns within the house. They should also be able to provide insights and recommendations based on the simulation results.

If you have the necessary skills and experience, I would love to hear from you. Please provide examples of previous CFD modeling projects and explain your approach to flow visualization simulations.

I have a 3D Rhino file for the model, which needs to be simulated. This project needs to be completed on the DesignBuilder operating system.

In this research, a part of the vernacular architecture of Jeddah has been studied from a wind and natural ventilation viewpoint as a cooling system. The research hypothesis is that the form of the building seems to affect the residential building's natural ventilation and wind behavior.
Objectives:
1. velocity and airflow patterns inside the building zones and each floor to investigate the details of airflow distribution. Deliver: A vertical section showing the air flow through the house.
2. Age of air inside the building zones. Deliver: a plan for the west room in the 2nd and 3rd floor.
3. Average daily air volume flow rate out and into the building to study the cross ventilation condition in the building and examine ideal pressure differences around the building.
4. The effect of windows opening fraction on the ventilation rate of the building, as a sensitivity analysis to evaluate the influence of the opening fraction of the windows on the ventilation rate inside the building, because windows in Baeshen house have no glazing, just the wooden screens the mashribyah. Windows were open most of the time in these buildings. However, the wooden screen (mashrabiya) could impact the airflow entering through the window.
5. Assessing the impact of air shaft on the relative humidity, air movement, air temperature and the CO2 level -an important indicator of air quality.
