3D Design for Machined Aluminum Parts for use with a Custom Sensor

Job ID: 37323656

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for a skilled CAD/CAM designer to take a sketch and create a 3D design that can be used to have the parts manufactured by a CNC machine shop. The project requires the following:

Required Tolerance: +/- 0.005 inch

CAD Design: I have a rough sketch of the parts that needs to be finalized. I have STEP files for the two PCBA's that will need to be integrated into the design (to be provided after selecting freelancer and signing NDA). The freelancer will need to create a CAD design based on the sketch and STEP files.

Finish: The aluminum parts need to be Hard Anodized to Mil-A-8625 designation.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

- Experience in machining aluminum parts with a tolerance of +/- 0.005 inch
- Proficiency in CAD design to finalize the sketch and create a detailed design
- Ideally the design would be completed in Solidworks or Fusion 360
- Must have knowledge in the CNC processes so that parts are designed for efficient manufacturing
- Knowledge of anodizing process for aluminum parts and taking into account anodizing thickness

If you have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your proposal.

The deliverables will be:
- 3D rendering of the parts
- 3D blowup drawing file with parts list
- Isometric drawings for each of the two parts designed (top and bottom parts)
- Drawing files to include company layout template (to be provided)
- All raw design files and necessary files for a typical CNC machine shop to manufacture the parts
