Design 28 Unique 3D Printable Lamp Models with a Common Modular Base – Original, Artistic & Print-Optimized
Budget: $350 – $650 USD
I am hiring a skilled 3D designer (or a design team) to create a set of 28 unique 3D-printable lamp models, all built around a standardized modular base. These lamps will be sold as digital files for 3D printing, so they must be highly aesthetic, printable on standard FDM printers, and mechanically sound. All designs must be completely original, functional, and ready for print.
What I Need:
1. Universal Base Design (One-Time Task)
-A modular base that works with all 28 lampshade designs
-Designed to be placed on a table and also include a hanging option (such as a ring or hook)
-Compatible with a standard E27 bulb holder which is used in lamps
-Includes cable routing space and basic ventilation for LED heat dissipation
-Lampshades should connect to the base using a secure twist-lock or snap-fit method
-Must be printable on a standard FDM 3D printer (build volume approx. 200x200x200 mm)
2. 28 Unique Lampshade Designs
-Each of the 28 lamp tops must:
-Fit perfectly on the universal base
-Require no or minimal support when printing
-Be visually distinct and inspired by a clear theme (themes listed below)
-Be printable using PLA or PETG on common desktop 3D printers
-Include consistent wall thickness and geometry suitable for soft light diffusion
-Be 100% original – no remixes or third-party models allowed
Theme Inspiration for Lampshades:
-5 designs inspired by nature (lotus, coral, leaf twist, pinecone, mushroom)
-3 designs inspired by space/astronomy (moon surface, constellation, Saturn ring)
-5 geometry/math-inspired (Voronoi, Fibonacci, Penrose triangle, etc.)
-4 cultural/mythological (Mandala, Torii gate, Ionic column, etc.)
-3 sacred symbol designs (Tree of Life, Sri Yantra, etc.)
-6 architectural/art-deco (domes, gothic pillars, towers, minimalist spires)
-2 futuristic/sci-fi (alien hive, cyber tunnel)
Deliverables:
For each lampshade design:
-STL file (print-ready, watertight)
-3MF file (optional but preferred)
-Editable STEP or Fusion 360 file
-Two rendered images (lit and unlit version)
-A brief print note file (orientation, support if any)
For the universal base:
-All of the above, plus diagram showing connection system
-Optional exploded or labeled view image
Ownership & Rights (Mandatory):
-All designs must be 100% original and created from scratch
-No reuse or remixing of third-party models (including open-source or public domain)
-I will retain full exclusive commercial rights to all delivered files and designs
-You may not reuse, resell, redistribute, or recreate any part of these designs for anyone else now or in the future
-You must not publish or share the final work anywhere
Timeline:
-The modular base should be completed within the first 7 days
-The full set of 28 lamp designs should be completed within 6 to 8 weeks
-Weekly updates are required
