Design Casual Foam Slides
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m developing a line of casual slides that should feel effortlessly comfortable on men, women, and children alike. To bring the concept to life I need an experienced footwear designer who can translate my ideas into production-ready assets.
The vision
• Style: Casual slides—clean silhouette, easy on/off, everyday wear.
• Audience: One design family sized for men, women, and kids; proportions must stay flattering across the range.
• Materials: A lightweight, flexible foam footbed is the priority; synthetic leather straps (or a comparable vegan alternative) are likely for durability and a refined look. I’m open to your expert suggestions on foam density, textures, and sustainable options.
What I expect from you
• Concept sketches showing at least two strap variations and proposed colorways.
• Detailed tech pack: dimensions, material specs, sole hardness (Shore A), and construction method.
• Production-ready CAD files and outsole patterns that a factory can use without re-drawing.
• A brief rationale explaining how your design balances comfort, cost, and style for all three size sets.
Experience with Illustrator or similar CAD tools for footwear, plus a portfolio featuring slides or sandals, will move you to the top of the list. If you can also advise on tooling or liaise with manufacturers, let me know—that’s a bonus but not required.
