Custom 18x10.5 Billet Snowflake Wheels
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
I’m finishing a pro-touring 1977 Trans Am and need a matching pair of front wheels to complement the 18x12 billet Snowflakes already on the rear. The spec is straightforward: 18 x 10.5, 5 × 4.75 bolt pattern, carved from aluminum billet in the classic Snowflake style that YearOne offered before they were discontinued. The car runs a Detroit Speed front subframe, so I’ll need a custom offset/backspacing; I can pull precise measurements once we start, but guidance on the best way to gauge them is welcome.
I have a clear reference photo of the exact Snowflake pattern I want, so you won’t be guessing on spoke shape or pocket depth. What I’m looking for is a fabricator or small shop with access to CNC milling/lathe equipment (or equivalent) who can model the wheel, verify strength, machine it from quality aluminum, and ship me a pair ready for final finish and mounting.
Let me know what additional information or measurements you’ll need—hub bore, brake clearance, load ratings, preferred alloy grade, surface prep, coating options, etc.—and your typical timeline for one-off wheels like this. With your help I can get the front stance and fitment dialed in and keep the Snowflake theme consistent all around. Thanks!
